With experience in the prime London property market, Andrew brings not only a wealth of expertise but also a reputation for unwavering dedication and a genuine commitment to client care. In his role here at Tedworth, Andrew will be working closely with our team to continue elevating our lettings services, ensuring each client receives the bespoke guidance and high standard of service that define our approach.
To get to know him a bit better, we asked Andrew a few questions about his career, passions, and what inspires him most, both in and outside of the property world.
1. Could you tell us a bit about your career journey so far, and what drew you to the lettings industry, especially in Prime Central London?
My journey in property began with a love for architecture. I started as a negotiator nearby in Earl’s Court, gaining valuable insights into the rental market and honing my negotiation skills. What truly drew me to Prime Central London lettings was the dynamic nature of the market— full of unique opportunities and challenges. Working with a diverse range of clients, including high-profile figures, and connecting tenants and landlords in such a prestigious area has been incredibly rewarding. Over the years, I’ve built strong relationships and developed a sharp understanding of market trends, which helps me deliver exceptional service to my clients.
2. What are you most excited about as you take on this new role within the team?
Joining an established company like Tedworth and the experience that the team have is a huge opportunity to develop myself both professionally and personally. I’m also looking forward to making an impact from the get go by contributing to important projects and initiatives, as well as making a tangible difference in the team’s success which is extremely motivating.
3. What do you do when you are not at work?
Outside the office, I like to stay active and keep busy. I’ve built up quite the bucket list, from sporting challenges to adventures in remote corners of the world, and I’m determined to keep ticking things off. Recently, I qualified for the 70.3 Ironman World Championships and even earned my rally driving license with hopes of taking on the Dakar Rally someday. When time allows, I also enjoy finding hidden dining gems and places to unwind.
4. As you join Tedworth, what new ideas or initiatives are you excited to bring to the lettings department, and how do you see the market evolving in the coming years?
I’m looking forward to a few new initiatives in the lettings department that I believe can elevate our service and strengthen our market position. Integrating advanced property management tech, for instance, will streamline our operations and enhance the tenant experience. Another focus is on enriched customer service through a dedicated feedback loop, allowing us to respond quickly to tenant needs and build lasting relationships. Expanding our portfolio with more flexible lease options and diverse property types will also meet the shifting needs of our clients. Looking at the market, I anticipate rising demand for rentals as urban living trends and preferences for flexibility continue. I’m eager to help us adapt with fresh strategies that will keep Tedworth at the forefront of the lettings market.
5. Throughout your career, what have been some of the key milestones or achievements that you’re most proud of in the lettings industry?
This is a tough one, as there have been many milestones I hold dear, each for different reasons. It’s not always about the biggest deals, but the emotional connection behind them. For example, post-pandemic, when travel was restricted, building genuine relationships with clients who trusted me to secure their homes was incredibly rewarding. Equally, helping a landlord find the right tenant for what may be their biggest investment is equally special. I always feel a sense of pride when I receive a referral from someone I’ve worked with before—it’s a reminder of how meaningful each individual is.
6. The lettings market in Prime Central London is constantly evolving. What trends are you seeing at the moment, and how do you think they will shape the future of the market?
The rental market moves fast, and staying on top of trends can feel like a balancing act. Right now, we’re closely watching the Renters Rights Bill, which is expected to become law in Spring 2025. While it will bring changes, it should benefit both landlords and tenants without drastically altering the market. At the moment, there’s a rising demand for flexible tenancy lengths to meet shifting tenant needs, alongside an increasing interest in long-term leases from families seeking stability. We’re also seeing a greater focus on well-maintained, modernised properties (think “turn key” quality). Landlords will need to rely more on their agents to ensure they attract quality tenants and provide top-tier service throughout the tenancy—relationships and professionalism will be key in protecting their investment.
